Why landlords and employers run court checks
A tenant who stops paying rent, or a new hire with a history of disputes, can cost far more than the time it takes to check. A signed rental agreement protects you after something goes wrong. A court record check helps you decide before you hand over the keys or an offer letter.
People also use it for domestic help, drivers and others who will have access to their home.
What a court record check is
It is a search of court records for cases linked to a person, using the name, father's name, address, Aadhaar and PAN they provide. You get one of three results:
- Verified clear: no court record was found.
- Record found: a case was found, with a short note from our team.
- Unable to verify: the search could not be completed, for example because the details did not match.
What it does not do
- It is not a certificate of character. Verified clear means nothing turned up in the records searched.
- It does not include employment, education or police verification.
- It does not replace a proper rental agreement, a security deposit and a look at the person in real life.
How it works on APKACOMPLEX
- You open apkacomplex.com/verify, verify your mobile number and enter the name and mobile number of the person to be checked.
- You send them a link on WhatsApp. They open it on their own phone, read what is checked, verify their own mobile number with a one-time code and add their details, including Aadhaar and PAN, so the search matches the right person.
- After they approve, you pay ₹450 by UPI and enter the transaction ID on the My requests page.
- We run the search through our verification partner and show the result on the same page.

What happens to the person's details
Their details, including Aadhaar and PAN, are stored encrypted, used only for this check and erased from our system within 90 days after it closes. You see the result and a short note, not their address, date of birth, Aadhaar or PAN.
Using the result fairly
- Ask the person about a record if one is found. Cases can be old, settled or about something that does not matter for your decision.
- Treat all applicants the same way. Run the check on everyone you are seriously considering, not only some.
- Keep the result private and use it only for the renting or hiring decision it was meant for.
- Combine it with other steps: a written agreement, ID checks and a conversation with the person.

Frequently asked questions
What is a court record check?
It is a search of court records for cases linked to a person, using the name, father's name, address, Aadhaar and PAN they provide. The result is verified clear when no record is found, record found when one is, or unable to verify when the search cannot be completed.
Does the person have to agree?
Yes. On APKACOMPLEX the person gets a link on their own phone, reads what will be checked and approves it with a one-time code sent to their own mobile number. Nothing is searched without that approval.
How much does it cost?
₹450 per person. You pay only after the person has approved the check, by UPI, and you enter the transaction ID on the My requests page.
What ID details do you ask for?
The person gives their Aadhaar and PAN numbers so the search matches the right person. Only our team and our verification partner can see them, they are stored encrypted, and they are erased within 90 days after the check closes. You never see them.
Is a clear result a guarantee?
No. Verified clear means no record was found in the records searched. It is useful information for your decision, not a certificate of character, and it does not replace other checks such as a proper rental agreement.
What happens to the person's details?
They are used only for this check and erased from our system within 90 days after it closes. The person who asked for the check sees the result, not the address, date of birth, Aadhaar or PAN.
Check before you commit
